4 LEAF CLOVER DRESSOIR {2026}

The object emerges as a personal reflection on wealth, privilege, and the contradictions of contemporary living. Referencing the 16th-century credenza - once a symbol of high social position - it questions what “richness” might mean today. A four-leaf clover motif, traditionally associated with luck, replaces historical ornamentation. It becomes an emblem of a different kind of fortune: not financial abundance, but the privilege of safety and freedom - conditions shaped not by merit, but by the circumstances of being born within a political structure that grants access and rights. The object has been made of repurposed aluminium, marked by scratches and oxidation, modest MDF and cheapest pine wood. Despite relatively low cost of production its sleek appearance aligns with contemporary visual language, subtly echoing aspirational design. The piece presents a personal paradox - existing in a state of financial precarity while inhabiting a life that, in many ways, remains deeply fortunate.
